Civil Society Organization “Youth Council”- Prilep acts since June 1999 in the field of youth and civil society.
The main motive is to help creating opportunities for common action of young individuals and associations in direction of identification and resolving problems and needs of youngsters.
We started with an ANTI AIDS CAMPAIGN which continues with new activities every year, “Youth council” – Prilep realises numbers of projects. Through the projects “Youngsters for youngsters”, “Youth for democracy”, “Health education on Roma’s young population”, “Political Youth Wings and their activities”, “Cleaner = Nicely town”, hundreds youngsters from different ethnic communities, doctors, psychologists, pedagogues, sociologists are involved.
Through the projects “Discuss about Peace”, “Building the confidence and developing of the collaboration between the citizens, NGOs and Local Government”, “Development of the Organizational skills”, “Youth council” -Prilep contributed to the development of civil society.
Since 2003 “Youth council” -Prilep actively works in the field of development of Youth policy with the projects “Youth National Action Plan”, “Creating Youth policy” and “Dialog with youngsters” and “SEE Youth Policy Conference”. Youth Council-Prilep is an important member of the Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA: www.sega.org.mk.

Mission

“Youth Council” -Prilep is an association of citizens which works on youth involvement in the processes of democracy and in implementation of youth policy through lobbing, advocating and non formal education in Macedonia.

Activities:

Advocating and lobbying for the youth issues;

Organising educations;

Involving of youngsters in decision making process;

Strengthen the capacities of youth NGOs in the region;

Membership in international youth networks and associations;

Cooperation and partnership in international and regional organisations and institutions
