The GreEn Hosts of our Community. It could be You…

Do people often end up listening to you? Do you often spark ideas and trigger initiatives in others? Do people love you because you are always full of energy and impress them with your great empathy for others and your ability to facilitate others’ learning? Can you find some spare time to engage in the interesting process of empowering young people?
Well, if the answer to at least two of those questions is “Yes, you bet, I am!” then you might be our GreEn hero.
This Monday I started my internship with the GEF GreEn Team at the office in Brussels but in preparation of the Co-Creation Workshop in December. We are also looking for GreEn Host Volunteers for our online platform.
The hosts will help us enhance the Community’s engagement and support members in their journey towards GreEn!
What will Our Green Hosts do?
- Facilitate and channel the dialogues by commenting on Community member’s posts, motivate them, so that they believe in their own abilities and strength
- Open the doors to provocative concepts of sustainable development and entrepreneurship to spark new discussions
- Stir the topic of GreEn by relaying/linking our forum and members´ contributions to other networks/platforms
What is in it for Our Green Hosts?
- Thanks to the supervision and with the advice of the GEF GreEn Team, you will have the opportunity to improve your skills as facilitators, communicators and get to practice your emotional intelligence and Web 2.0 skills.
- Being the anchormen/women of our community will enhance your prime visibility on our platform and will add a new set of references for your future projects and job applications.
Of course, you will earn our complementary currencies Ants and Owls, necessary to join our workshop in December and future summit in 2011.
All this puts you into the front row of change-makers in the GreEn field, a perfect starting point for your future endeavors.
How to apply to become a Green Host?

I want to verify my abilities as a facilitator and as a motivator. I often provoke my friends to an efficient dialogue, but I am wondering if I am able to do the same on this specific topic, Green Entrepreneurship. I am going to try it..whatever you accept me as Green Host or not.
Sometimes you have something to tell, sometimes not..Is not necessary to comment everything.As Green host I would feel stressed that I miss a post to comment or I ask a wrong question to the author, or about other mistakes that I can make.
I think you should better invite the community (:and I do that right now
to be more active and to express themselves and their ideas, to be open for a constructive dialogue. it does not metter have you ever facilitated, provoketed, motivated someone or not. May be you have never triggered initiatives or you are not always full of energy..but you are sure you have something to tell us, you like the topic, or you do not agree with an idea..tell us what do you think and why.
This is an exercise for our brains.It helps us in developing our analitycal thinking, an important skill an entrepreneur should posess in my opinion.
