The Social Business Innovators Startup Camp is a project idea  developed at the GreEn Forum Workshop. It is the result of an ongoing collaboration of bright minds thinking, discussing, co-working, inspiring, exchanging and innovating. Update 2011-03-08: The draft program has recently been released.

The core concept: Turning social innovators into sustainable entrepreneurs in a 6 days startup camp to create social businesses and connect them embedded in networks of support to grow. The target: NGO, environments people who are addressing social change through projects and politics. The Web 2.0/Web 3.0 entrepreneurs and startup scene that is driven by web technology constantly innovating business models. Social business aggregators, organisations and people that are facilitating a social and economic mindshift. Academic institutions researching social business and sustainable entrepreneurship. Corporate Businesses who are researching/developing business model innovation and CSR. As well as partners from the international capital industries who are focusing on long term sustainable investment opportunities. In a high-class non formal education and open source based process the participants will be guided to turn their utopias of social change into sustainable business models. Around their visions of the world to be, they will be educated and guided to build sustainable value adding models around their ideas. This process will be supported by top-notch mentors and find its closing, which is indeed just the starting point for future networks of support to grow, at the final investor’s day. The 10+x new formed teams will compete for seed capital funding and be directly connected to startup incubation. • Project Co-Developer from NGO/entrepreneurial/social business environments or related sciences (open vacancies)
• Partnering umbrellas, organisations, businesses and institutions from all related fields
• Individual mentors, entrepreneurs and specialists in business modelling and startup aggregation
• Interns proving foundations in related academic and social participation concepts
